Gay Dawn Nash, 74, of Escatawpa, MS, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Gay was born on January 1, 1945 in Lucedale, MS to the late Ollie and Eva Byrd. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a longtime member of Canaan Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents, Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Nash; son, Basil Lee Nash; brothers, Billy Joe Knight and Victor Knight.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Halsey) Paul, Victor “Jody” Nash, Tony Nash, and Rebecca Nash; granddaughters, Miranda Nash and Ashley Paul Sheldon; great-grandson, Brees Sheldon; sisters, Renee (Roger) Eubanks and Monette Scott; sister-in-law, Shelia Henderson; along with nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
The visitation for Gay will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Rodney Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Rogers Cemetery in Lucedale, MS.
