Wilbur M. Abel, 67, of 311 E. Clark St died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 1993, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 28, 1926, in Adams County to Edwin and Lola Smith Abel, he married Joan Hahn on Feb. 19, 1947, in Metamora. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Rodney and Roland, both of Peoria, Robert of Indianapolis and Thomas of Huntsville, Ala.; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Marcia) Jenkins of Washburn; 12 grandchildren; his stepmother, Ruby Abel of Leesburg, Fla.; one stepsister, Norma Lee Ahrens of Metamora; and one stepbrother, Merlin Broers of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and one granddaughter.
