Antonio Duarte Raposo, age 81, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Sousa) Raposo.
Antonio was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved to this area in 1977. He had worked in a tobacco factory and had also worked in maintenance for a curtain factory. Antonio loved spending time with his family and watching soccer, especially Benfica.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Paolo Raposo, Joao Raposo, Maria Medeiros, Eujanio Raposo and Pedro Raposo; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Arrangements in care of the Perry Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
