He married Elizabeth Brookshire.
Hung Himself.
A man named Jesse Tate, living on a farm about four miles southwest of Smithville, hung himself, Monday morning. He was laboring under temporary insanity, and had made an unsuccessful attempt to hang himself the day before. Mr. Tate was in good circumstances, and had a large family of grown children. At an early hour Monday morning he remarked that he would go out to the barn and feed. He was found hanging by the neck, in the kitchen, and it was evident that he had not left the house.
