Vertie Marie Carman, 88, of Liberty, Ky died Saturday May 18, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born July 23, 1930 in Casey County to the late Woodrow & Georgia Florence Chapman Pevely.
She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Twilla Cunningham; husband, Willie C. Lawhorn ; 4 brothers, Charles, James, Virgil, & Paul Pevely; 1 sister, Virgie Parton.
Survivors: husband: Hugh Fletcher; 2 children: Carla (John) Owens, Lawrenceburg, Ky; Hershel (Joan) Lawhorn, Liberty, Ky; 4 grandchildren-5 great grandchildren-1 great great grandchild; brother: David Pevely, Liberty, Ky; 2 sisters: Mary Bray, Grand Rivers, Ky; Janie Weddle, Russell Springs.
Funeral service for Marie Carman will be 1 PM .( Eastern Time) Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Thomas Ridge Church. Visitation 10 AM to 1 PM (Eastern Time) at the church.
Interment in the South Fork Cemetery
