Larry Monroe Scroggins, II, passed away June 2, 2015 at his home in Hood River, Oregon. Larry was born March 3, 1957 and was 58 years of age at the time of his passing.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Friday, June 12, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1825 May St., Hood River, Oregon 97031).
Larry was born in LaJolla, California to Larry Monroe and Darlene Jessie (Smith) Scroggins. He grew up in Portland, graduated from Wilson High School and attended Mount Hood Community College. He was a carpenter by trade working throughout the Gorge until a work injury forced his early retirement in 2005. Larry enjoyed golf, bowling and watching sports.
Larry is survived and will be dearly missed by; his son, Lauren Lewis; mother, Darlene Scroggins; brothers, Jesse Marion Scroggins and wife, Tina Arlene, William Martin Scroggins and his wife, Kerry Elizabeth, and Lloyd Michael Scroggins and his wife, Carla Estefini; nieces, Kelsie Ann, Taitum Jane; nephews, Cade Jesse, William Tucker, Liam Michael & Miguel Martin; aunts & uncles; and a host of friends that he has collected over the years. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Monroe Scroggins.
