.W. “Tootie” Howsen age 83, of Warren, AR died Monday, May 20th at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born October 14th, 1935 in Gravelridge AR, Bradley County a son of the late Buster Howsen and Bertha Hines Howsen. He was a retired military veteran, serving 21 years in the Airforce, he severed in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War finishing his long career as a Master Sargent. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, worked for the Warren Police Department, was director of security for Potlatch Southern Division and loved to play the steel guitar. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Jenkins. Survivors include his wife Betty Lasiter Howsen, whom he married October 19, 1957. A son Kenny Howsen and spouse April, Shreveport, LA, a daughter Sandi Howsen Farr and spouse Lee, Maumelle, AR. A brother Larry Howsen, Warren, AR and 4 grandchildren, Tyler Howsen Chris Whitley and spouse Cassidy, Brady Farr and Zach Farr. A great-grandchild Charlie Cassidy.
