Alice was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
great-great-grandmother. She found pleasure in crocheting, feeding and watching the birds and flower gardening.
Survivors include five daughters, Lois (Dan) Thomas of New Jersey, Carol (Keith) Brown of Wampum, Cathy Procopio of North Beaver Township, Judy Chmura of South Carolina and Karen (Tom) Magnone of North Beaver Township; a son, Thomas M. (Cathy) Meade Jr. of North Beaver Township; a sister, Delores Ambrose of New Castle; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret McConnell in infancy, Marie Tindall and Doris Anderson; her brothers, Ralph, Kenneth, Howard "Bud," Frank and John McConnell; two sons-in-law, Jack Chmura and Joseph Procopio; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Savakis in infancy; and a great-great-granddaughter, Emma Funera in infancy.
In keeping with Alice's wishes, a private family viewing and blessing service, officiated by Deacon John Curran was held Tuesday morning at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer.
Alice was buried at Oak Park Cemetery in New Castle.
