28 Feb 1874 in Unionville, Putnam County, Missouri, at the age of 23 years, 2 months, & 15 days, Frank Harvey Albee married Mary Jane Davis.

Five families, those of T. C. Davis, C. H. W Williams, J. W. Williams, Frank H. Albee, and George Albee, wives, sons, and daughters, arrived by teams from Lionville, Iowa,a few days ago, having left there May 13th. They are Industrious, thrifty, well to do people and have located here, the first three having leased the ranches of Mr. Peter Valitonfor three years. The Messrs. Albee are negotiating for other farms. These are the kind of people that are now coming to Montana and the more of them the better.

Mr. Frank Albee and daughter Pearl, of Deer Lodge, Montana, arrived Monday night for a visit with Mr. Albee's sister, Mrs. N.S. Wyckoff of Howland, and another sister, Mrs. H. E. Bathrick, of Boston, who is visiting here. There will be a reunion of Mrs. Wyckoff's family as soon as her daughter who is ill with typhoid, recovers. Their daughter Mrs. Dr. Homan, of Iowa and son Will Wyckoff of Deer Lodge, Montana, are here.

Mrs. S. O. Bathrick, who has been a guest of her brother F.H. Albee, this summer, returned to her home Tuesday. She was accompanied as far as Butte on her way east by Mrs. William Wyckoff and Miss Alice Albee.

Frank Harvey Albee was born in Malden, Middlesex Country, Massachusetts on 13 Dec 1850, to Emily Shaw Greenough and Moses Donnell Albee. He was the 4th child of 5 children.

About the age of 4 years, with his family he came from Massachusetts by covered wagon to Missouri. Frank Albee was educated in Unionville, Putnam County, Missouri and married in 1874 to Mary Jane Davis.

In 1882, after 28 years of living in Unionville, Missouri, Frank and his family traveled by covered wagon and moved to Montana where he became a prominent cattle rancher. By 1920 Frank and his wife retired to Los Angeles California.

Frank Harvey Albee was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane Davis Albee, two sons; Charles and Fredrick Albee, his parents; Emily Greenough and Moses Donnell Albee of Missouri, two sisters: Emily Maria Albee Clair, Iowa, & Susan Olive Albee Bathrick of Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Those left to honor his memory are his four sons: Donald Thomas Albee, William Manley Albee, Benjamin Harrison Albee and Frank Harvey Albee, three daughters: Allie Gertrude Albee Shaw, Maude Elizabeth Albee Merkle, and Perle Blanch Albee Lail and 9 grandchildren, a sister ANGELIA ALBEE WYCKOFF, and a brother George Henry Albee.

Frank H Albee was laid to rest by his wife, Mary Jan Davis Albee in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California

Frank H. Albee, prominent stock grower and rancher of Deer Lodge and a pioneer resident of Montana, died at noon today in Los Angeles, relatives here were informed.

Mr. Albee was born in Malden, Mass., December 13, 1850, and as a child accompanied his family to Unionville, Mo. There he married. February 28, 1874, Mary Jane Davis and they came by covered wagon to Montana, settling in Deer Lodge in 1882.

Mr. Albee and his sons, built up one of the leading stock growing businesses of this section of the state. Mr. Albee retired several years ago. Mrs. Albee died about three years ago.

Surviving are four sons, Benjamin and Frank Harvey Albee of Deer Lodge, Donald T. Albee of Wisdom and William Albee of Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Allie O. Shaw of Deer Lodge, Mrs. Pearl Lail of Los Angeles and Mrs. Maude H. Merkle of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. N. S. Wyckoff, and a brother, George Albee, both of Unionville.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon in the Little Church of Flowers in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Final rites for Frank H. Albee, 85 years of age, who came to Montana from Missouri in 1875, [1882] were conducted yesterday in the Little Church of the Flowers with interment in Forrest Lawn Memorial Park. He was a cattle rancher until his retirement seventeen years ago when he came to Los Angeles. He died Monday and leaves four sons and three daughters.

George Albee received a letter from his nephew in Los angles, California, informing him that his only brother, Frank Albee, had passed away last Monday, at the age of 85 years.

Frank H. Albee was born in Malden, Massachusetts on December 13, 1860 and came to Putnam county, Missouri, with his parents, brother and sisters, when he was almost 6 years of age.

He was united in marriage to Mary Davis on February 20, 1874. To this union were born nine children. The mother and two children preceded the father in death. He leaves seven children; one sister, MRS. ANGELIA WYCKOFF of Unionville, Missouri who is 89 years old, and one brother George Albee of Mendota, Missouri who is 81 years of age.

Mr. Albee made Putnam county his home until the spring of 1882 when he, with several others, traveled by covered wagon to Deer Lodge, Montana. It took three months to make this trip and they camped out every night. There were thirty covered wagons traveling together from Grand Island Nebraska to Deer Lodge.

In this company besides the deceased and his family, were his brother George Albee and family, his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Davis, also her sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Charley Williams.

Mr. Albee moved to California several years ago and this remained his home until his death. He never made but two trips back to Missouri. The last visit being in 1923. He fully enjoyed this visit and made the remark at the time that he wouldn't try to make the trip back again.

He fell and broke his hip a few years ago and he never fully recovered from this injury

His last hours were without pain and he passed away very peacefully on January 20.1935 and was laid to rest beside his wife who died 4 years ago Last Christmas.
