Loretta Nichols Jeter, 89, formerly of Belzoni, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at Belzoni Cemetery, Belzoni; under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home.
She was born February 15th, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee; the daughter of Roy Anderson Nichols and Estelle Carson Nichols.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Randolph Jeter; son, John Jeter; brother, Roy Nichols; and sister, Elizabeth Stewart.
She is survived by her children; Melanie Jeter (Earl) Geoghegan of Greenville Springs, LA, David (Brenda) Jeter of Summerville, TN; and Lynn Jeter (Ronnie) Castille of Lafayette, LA; sister, Lois Michelli of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great granchild.
