Gene, age 79, died at his home in Girard. He was the son of Clinton M. and Xenia (Marshall) Allen. He graduated from Crawford High School in Cherokee and served in the US Air Force. He married Sharon Jean Norris on January 11, 1963, in Cherokee. Survivors include his companion, Judy Lasley, his sons, Alden Allen and Rick Allen, three grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and his brother, James Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents. Funeral services were held at Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard. Burial was in Girard Cemetery.
