MINOR SADLER HARRIS JR., born April 4, 1934, passed away on April 24, 2017. He was born in Brookline, MA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Minor Sadler Harris and his mother, Anne Cameron Harris and his first daughter Elizabeth Harris. Minor was known as “Mike” to all his friends and family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Bonnie Harris and her children, Chris Bradley and wife Ashley, Summer and her husband Jason, and Scott and his wife Jennifer. Mike loved his grandchildren; Kinslee, Isabella, Parker, Grace, Ben, Blake and Payton.

Mike is also survived by his previous wife, Diane Harris and their two children, Minor Harris III and wife Adriana, and Helen McDevitt and husband Scott; also dearly loved are grandchildren, Megan and Erin.

Mike is also survived by Jenni Cocci and her husband John and other grandchildren that he loved are Brigitte, David and Joseph Streckert. Also surviving are Marley, his golden retriever, and Dooley, the orange tabby.

He also has one great granddaughter, Lulu.

Mike has many friends in the neighborhood, in business, and in life that will miss his caring and attentive spirit.

Mike’s love of family brought him much happiness. He was always there for his children guiding them and teaching them how to treat people and be a role model. A great role model himself he had plenty of resource to give.

Mike was a member of the US Army, Society of Lees of Virginia Life Member, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Rotary Club of St. Simons Island, The Corinthians Association, Golden Isles Sailing Club, The Catboat Association, and the Glynn County Board of Assessors.

Mike could always be seen on the river teaching children to sail. He and his wife made it a habit to have lunch at Brogen’s North and dinner at Frederica House on Sunday evenings with friends.

Beloved by many, he will dearly be missed. Services will be held at Christ Church Frederica on Friday, May 5 at 10:00am.
