A celebration of Jimmy Glenn Evans’ life, age 59, of Jasper, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow at North Baptist Cemetery, Jasper. Visitation will be 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019 at the funeral home.
Jimmy died May 19, 2019 at his home in Jasper. A native of Center, Texas, he was a long time resident of Jasper and a member of Faith Bible Church. He liked fishing, watching TV, visiting with family, and travel.
Jimmy is survived by two sons, James Evans of Fort Worth, Texas, and Keith Evans of Henderson, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer Remmington and husband Wally of Washington State; two half-brothers, Marcus Evans and Jeremy Evans, both of Center, Texas; and seven sisters, Ellen Carlton and husband Keith of Jasper, TX; Judy Wolff and husband Vernon of Brookeland, TX; Donice Smith and husband Roland of Belton, TX; Eloise Kencile and husband Melvin of Hemphill, TX; Elaine Hubert and husband Chuck of Pennsylvania; Linda Berry and husband Kenneth of Deweyville, TX; and Odessa Glass and husband William of
Moscow, Texas; and two grandchildren, Daniel Remmington and Stormey McMahon.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Evans; his mother, Bobbie Jean Rash; two sisters, Bobbie Ann Luman and Annie Jean Evans; and one brother, James Ray Evans.
