"Jesus is the Better Way”
It is with great sadness that Sister Melissa Battle passed away peacefully on March 28, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Sis. Melissa had a loving family and Church family that loved her dearly. We know that she is resting in God.
Sis Melissa served as treasurer for Church of Life from 1998 to 2002 She enjoyed traveling. When we think of Sis. Melissa we will celebrate the good memories and great times we had in God! Sis. Melissa enjoyed playing the drums and did a very good job. She was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She had the most beautiful smile and had a love for God. She had a great sense of humor. She had a great love for her family and church family.
Sis. Melissa graduated from Banks County High School in 1986. She worked at ZF Industries and Walmart, Gainesville GA. She was a current member of Church of Life Deliverance Tabernacle, Inc. Lula, GA.
Sis. Melissa will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She gave her life to Jesus Christ many years ago and committed her soul to Him!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Norsie Battle Sr and Mrs. Shirley Battle, brother Calvin Battle.
She leaves to mourn her passing, three sisters: Evelyn Battle, Carolyn (Bobby) Morse, and Lisa Battle, four brothers: Norsie Battle Jr., Dennis Battle, Mark Battle, and Samuel Battle, God Father and Mother: Willie & Veola Thomas, one forever brother: Apostle RL Hughey, 1 niece, 6 nephews, Aunt: Thelma Battle, Norwood GA, Uncle: Frank Battle, Williams, SC, Great Aunt: Sally Battle-Johnson, Norwood, GA, and a host of extended family, friends and Church family.
We as the body of Christ, remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived by the written word of God.
As Melissa Pastor, Mother and friend, it's truly been a blessing to have known her and watched her grow in God
