Rose Clippinger, 73, of 2444
Parkwood Ave. retired principle
of East Side Central School, died
yesterday in the Byrnebrook Nur-
sing Home.
Miss Clippinger was born in
Ross Township, Butler County, Ohio, and lived 40
years in Toledo. She attended
Miami University at Oxford, Ohio,
and was graduated from the
University of Toledo.
Miss Clippinger taught four years
in Troy, Ohio, before coming to
Toledo. Here, she taught fourth
and fifth grades at the old Jeffer-
son and Evansdale Elementary
Schools and later at Jones and Ban-
croft Hills Schools. She became
principal of Bancroft Hills in 1950
and principle of East Side Central
in 1951, retiring in 1957.
Her brother, Harry A., of Harrison,
Ohio, survives.
Services will be Monday in the
Jackman Mortuary, Harrison, with
Burial in Glen Haven Cemetery,
Harrison, Ohio
