John C. Barlow, 85, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away November 30, 2018, at home. Born April 6, 1933, Syracuse, NY, John lived in 8 states, settling in PA in 1982. He graduated from Riverside HS, Decatur, AL, 1949 and served honorably in the US Army, Tennessee National Guard and US Air Force Reserves. John was a born again Christian. John worked in printing for 22 years with the McKenzie Banner, McKenzie, TN; Dresden Enterprise, Dresden, TN; Pepperite Thermographers, Memphis, TN and 26 years in trucking: 13 years with McLean Trucking Company, Memphis, TN/Amarillo, TX/Lebanon, PA and 13 years with ABF Freight Systems, Carlisle, PA, retiring in 1999. After retirement John was a part time employee of Automotive Fleet Sales, Lemoyne, PA for 9 years. John was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Barlow, his first wife, Joanne White Barlow and his brother, Karl Barlow. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda J. Vitale Barlow and children, Debbie Nichol, Hernando, MS, Dianne Martin, Bartlett, TN, Danny Barlow, Sparta, TN, Doug Barlow, Jonestown, PA; stepdaughter, Jennifer Handyside, Camp Hill, PA; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Cindy Owen, McKenzie, TN. John will be remembered by his many friends as a natural story teller, singer, songwriter and poet, but his true passions were anything automotive, driving and traveling.
