Peggy I. (Arthur) Cooksey, 71, of Spencer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Peggy was born on November 7, 1947, in Spencer, to Marvin and Elma Mae (Graper) Arthur.
Peggy graduated from Ivy Tech and was a bookkeeper, having worked at Johnsons Grocery, the Hospitality House in Bloomington, and the Hamilton Center. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, and grandma, who enjoyed watching her grandchildren any time that she could.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lloyd Cooksey, daughters, Lisa Cooksey-Patterson of Spencer, Kim and husband Chris Campbell of Connecticut, Stephanie Cooksey-Sare of Spencer, grandchildren, Megan (Ed) Elmore-Cox, Douglas Patterson, Drake Patterson, Luke Patterson, Aidan Campbell, Delaney Campbell, Christian Sare, Jeffrey Sare, Anna Sare, and great-grandchildren, Branson Elmore, Aila Elmore, Silas Cox, siblings, Glenda Macer, Mark Arthur, David and wife Julie Arthur, Tom and wife Tina Arthur, and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Jeffrey Arthur, Wesley Arthur, Mike Arthur, and brother-in-law, Jack Macer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May 31, 2019 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana. Pastor Gary Brinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
