Born in Dumas, TX on May 7, 1962 to James T. and Deloris (Green) Gilmore, Jr., Randy was raised and educated in the Chelsea area and attended Chelsea Public Schools. The father of four children, Randall Jr., Chris, Pamela, and Paige, Randy provided for them working in the family business Gilmore House Movers.

An avid outdoorsman, Randy liked anything to do with nature. He hunted deer and coon, but had a special interest in any type of poultry. Raising turkeys, ducks, chickens, and guineas, which occupied a lot of his free time. Randy attended a lot of sales and auctions and according to his family, he would always come home with some type of treasure that they affectionately referred to as junk. Family was important to Randy and he appreciated the times that his family could all be together. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes on family and friends or just causing a few problems for them.

Randy will be missed by all those that knew him. He is survived by his children, Randall Gilmore and fiancé Britney Orban, Chris Gilmore, Pamela McLendon, and Paige Gilmore, grandchildren, Kaleb Gilmore, Sapphire Orban, Nyla Gilmore, Akilies Gilmore, Gracie Pennel, Jaymie Pennel, Michael Gillispie, and Sabastian Gilmore, sisters, Debbie Gilmore, and Vicki Eastwood and husband Bobby, brothers Jim Gilmore, Scotty Gilmore, Steve “Booger” Gilmore, and the mother of his children, Brenda (Strong) Gilmore, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Richard Gilmore. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dorothy Lovelady for helping care for Randy.
