Levy Gann, age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 31st at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Singleton and Bro. Ronnie Kidd officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 31st from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tennessee Prison Outreach Ministries, 136 Rains Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.

Mr. Gann was born March 20, 1939 in Lafayette to the late Loyd Cecil Gann and Dova Mary Shoulders Gann. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Tena Johnson; and sisters, Mable Neill, Thelma Satterfield, Sue Gann, and Ruth Carter. He is survived by wife of 55 years, Nancy Bates Gann; sons, Mike O. Gann (Rebecca) of Gallatin and Glenn N. Gann (Kimberly) of Oakdale, TN; 9 grandchildren, Hannah K. Gann, Noah J. Gann, Aaron B. Johnson, Nevaeh R. Gann, Sarah M. Buell, Jay Arwood, Harley Arwood, Hope Hudson, and Troy Johnson; and 5 great grandchildren, Jordan Dice, Liberty Dice, Dillon Hartman, Bella Hartman, and Bexley E. Johnson. Mr. Gann retired from the Tennessee Division of Forestry as a crew leader after 35 years of service, included in his service, he portrayed “Smokey the Bear” to teach children about forest fire safety.
