Death Notices - Frederick J. Burghard Jr. Naples, FL Frederick John Burghard Jr., 80, of Naples, died Monday, December 29, 2003. Mr. Burghard lived in Louisville, KY, before moving to Naples in 1980. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, who was employed as an advertising executive for most of his professional career. He was a volunteer at the Conservancy, St. John's Episcopal Church and Thrift Store, and the Naples Community Hospital. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jacqueline Burghard, with whom he had four children. The surviving children are Barbara Eisenbeis, Cynthia Burghard, F. John Burghard III and Dorothea Shepard. There are seven grandchildren. Mr. Burghard is survived by his wife, Patricia Zeller Burghard; and seven step-children, Patricia Zeller, Michelle Geigle, Norman Zeller, Mary Routson, Jane Wynen, John Zeller and Amy Neubert. A service was held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at St. John's Episcopal Church. Donations to his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Support Network.
