Helen Ramelle Troutman Simmons, 77, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2007.
Born in Albemarle, North Carolina Ramelle was the daughter of Winfred and Mary Troutman.
Ramelle is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, the Rev Dr Lewis Bill Simmons; one daughter, Sara Ann Werden of Mainesville, Ohio; two sons, Rodney Joe Simmons and wife Janet of Suffolk and Jackie Carl Simmons and wife Mary of Moyock, North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Suffolk Christian Church, 216 North Main Street, Suffolk by the Rev Michael D Halley and the Rev Dolan Talbert with burial in Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. in the R W Baker & Company Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 West Washington Street, Suffolk.
