Patricia Daniells was born October 19, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas, and died of cancer at home in Olympia, Washington, on December 20, 2017. It was her wish to be cremated and have her ashes spread in her garden.

She was adopted as a newborn by Leslie and Lois Daniells, both of whom are deceased. She recently found out about a half sister, Virginia Rose, living in Texas. She was thrilled to make this connection and had the opportunity to talk to her a few times and exchange emails. Patricia was my roommate for over 20 years; we were like sisters, and she "adopted" my mom, Betty Michael, as her mother.

Patricia served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era for three years as a dental hygienist. After the Army, she had a variety of jobs, from sewing machine repair to real estate sales and selling timeshares in Florida. While in Arizona, she trained and worked as a caregiver; she worked at a women's gym in California, and for a short time in Washington. Then she took over as Betty's caregiver when we moved into Colonial Estates.

She loved playing card games, Texas Hold 'Em, bunko and pinochle to name a few. She enjoyed going to the casino with friends, and she would often drive around the park (Colonial Estates) to visit with friends and often met newcomers. Her real passion became gardening, once we moved into Colonial Estates; this past year, she planted over 100 dahlias with the help of neighbors.

She enjoyed being involved in the community activities when we first moved in. She even served as Event Coordinator for a time, working with a team to plan fun events for the residents.

She loved talking with people and she was always happy to help out whenever she could.
