Alice A. (Reed) (Hershberger) (Kinsey) Weyand, 83, of Somerset, passed on June 2, 2015 at Somerset Hospital. Born July 17, 1931 in Johnstown, she is a daughter of the late Emmett(Pat) and Adelaide (Hynicka) Reed. She is also preceded in death by her brother Emmett Reed Jr. and daughter Gloria Barkley. Alyce is survived by her husband Leroy "Punch" Weyand; daughters Carol Vitko, widow of Joseph Vitko of Somerset, Cindy Hay and husband Dale of Kingwood, and Susan Tomko and husband Roger of Somerset; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and brother Douglas Reed of Johnstown. Alyce was retired from the Social Security Administration office in Somerset. She later volunteered at the Somerset Hospital and won a 20 year service award. She was a member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren.
There will be no viewing or visitation at her request. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday at the Somerset Church of the Brethren. Pastor Paul Liepelt will officiate. Arrangements by MILLER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SOMERSEt, Pa
