COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866 by Mary Jane Galer (published 2000), page 208 says B. V. Iverson, Jr. died age 20 of dropsy (heart trouble) and buried December 23, 1856 (from October 1, 1856 to January 1, 1857 Sexton's Report, presented January 19, 1857). Same source page 61 says Benjamin V. Iverson paid poll and property tax as resident of Militia District #773 (Captain Gill's District then, later Upper Town District) in Muscogee County, 1845.

1850 census for Columbus, GA, says B. V. Iverson, a Planter age 44, with Mrs. J. A. Iverson age 38 and E. V. Iverson a male age 14 (all born in GA) -- this child evidently B. V. Jr. 1860 census of same place shows Benj. Iverson age 54, holding real estate value $4,500 & personal estate $6,500, with Juliet A. Iverson age 48 and James G. (or S.?) Iverson age 9 (all born in GA).
