Birth year about 1806 (age 30-39 in 1840, 44 in 1850, 54 in 1860 from Columbus, GA, censuses; 64 in 1870 and 74 in 1880, from Macon, GA, censuses). Father born in SC, mother born in GA. Married about 1834 probably in GA to Juliet A. Smith.

Macon Daily Telegraph for Tuesday, October 13, 1896, page 4 says FUNERAL NOTICE. IVERSON---Died in this city at 9 a.m., October 12, Mr. B. V. Iverson, in his 91st year. Funeral services will be held form the residence of Mr. Ben C. Smtih this (Tuesday) morning at 10:30 o'clock. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend. Same for Wednesday, October 14, 1896 says MR. IVERSON BURIED. His Funeral Was Attended by a Large Concourse of Friends. The remains of Mr. Benjamin V. Iverson were buried yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock in Rose Hill cemetery. The funeral was from the residence of Mr. Ben C. Smith on Mulberry street. A large number of the friends of the grand old man attended the services. Rev. R. R. White, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, preached the funeral sermon. THe crowd at the burial service was a large one. The pall-bearers were: Messrs. T. D. Tinsley, C. E. Campbell, George Plant, W. H. Woodson, A. R. Tinsley and T. L. Massenburg, all old friends of the deceased.

Georgia Constitutionalist (Augusta) for Tuesday, February 4, 1834, page 3 says LAW. THE undersigned have formed a copartnership in the Practice of LAW, under the firm of IVERSON & FORSYTH. THey will practice regularly in the Counties of Muscogee, Stewart, Randolph, Early, BGaker, Lee, SUmter, Marion, Talbot, Harris, Meriwether, Troup, Coweta, and Heard, in this State. and in the counties of Chambers, Russell, Macon, and Barbour, in the state of Alabama.
