Funeral services for Patty Jean Krause will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at First Baptist Church of El Reno with burial in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Patty passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 30, 2019. She was born Jan. 14, 1938, in El Reno to C.L. and Beatrice Bear.
She was a graduate of El Reno High School and later received a bachelor of science and masterβs of education degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She taught in the Sharon-Mutual School System until she retired. During her retirement she was a substitute teacher for El Reno Public Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church as well as the Red Hatters Club.
Her parents and husband, Kenneth Krause, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patrica βSusanβ Hays and Rebecca McCurdy and husband, Jeff; stepson, Greg Krause and wife, Sigrid; grandchildren, Jessica Bergman and husband, Zeb, Jana Lee, Jennifer Lee and fiance, Damian Castillo, and Spencer Scott and wife, Kylea; great-grandchildren, Colton Lynn, Noah Bergman, Kayli Lynn, Kynzi Lynn, Pacey Scott and Houston Scott; and special family member, Crystal Estes-Reeves.
