Gerald Lee ‘Jerry’ Blew, 56, of Hutchinson, died Friday, April 12, 2019. He was born October 13, 1962, in Hutchinson, the son of Frankie L. ‘Bud’ and Zoetta LoRee (Reid) Blew.
He was a 1980 graduate of Pretty Prairie High School and Hutchinson Community College in 1982. Jerry worked mechanical and electrical maintenance at Arconic for over 19 years. He attended Salt City Cowboy Church.
Favorite pastimes include drag racing, Mopars, Oliver tractors, farming, and tractor pulling.
On April 4, 2014, he married DeAnna Lynne Smith in Hutchinson. She survives. Also surviving are: sons, Justin of Great Bend, Luke and wife Jennessa of Hutchinson; siblings, Sharon Brown, Diana Kranz and husband Jack, Rex and wife Amy, Karen Johnson and husband Dean, all of Hutchinson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Montie McFerrin presiding. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Darlow. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
