LaGRANGE, Ga. --- Mr. George Buford Barfield, 59, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1996, at U. A. B. Hospital in Birmingham.

Funeral services werfe held Friday, Decc 13 at 2 p.m. at Stiffer-Hamby Morturary LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Roy Bain officiating. Burial followed in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange.

Mr. Barfield is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel McKeen Barfield of LaGrange; two sons, Keith Barfield of Birmingham and Wayne Barfield of Montgomery; his daughter-in-law, Susan Myhand Barifeld of Birmingham; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Gay Greesham of LaGrange; his father, Robert E. Barfield of Statesville, N. C.; his sister, Mrs. Barbara Yarbrough of Lanett; and three grandchildren.

Born May 10, 1937, in Randolph County, Ala., Barfield was a member of the United Congregational Christian Church. He was the owner of New South Motor Company.
