Pauline E. Wells, 86, of Aztec, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007, in Aztec. Pauline, or as she was better known to her family and friends, "Grandma-Pa," was born Sept. 7, 1920, to Artie and Bessie (Tucker) Gurley, in Reed, Okla.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred Wells; and daughters, Saundra Rinehart and Cynthia Wells.

She is survived by her son, Randy Wells and wife, Mary; daughters, Pat Cooper, Pam Winter and husband, William; daughter-in-law, Cindy Wells; grandchildren, Bobby McManis, Breonda Ristrom and husband, Dan, Rodney Rinehart and wife, Debbie, Rhonda Mangum and husband, Marty, Kevin Winter and wife, Grace, Alan Wells, Kimberly Payne and husband, Anthony, Randy Wells Jr., Mark Wells, and Yvonne Kliewer and husband, Todd; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pauline moved to New Mexico in 1980 and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crocheting, and quilting. She was also a VFW Ladies Auxiliary member for 30 years.
Our beloved mother and grandmother has gone to be with our Heavenly Father and she will be greatly missed by all.

Public viewing will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 19, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Aztec with services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Family members will conduct the services and burial will be at Aztec Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Winter, Kevin Winter, Alan Winter, Anthony Payne, Mark Wells, and Blake Kliewer.

Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave., (505) 334-9332.
