A daughter of Elmer Daugherty and his wife, the former Jesse Nicholson, Eva Ruth Daugherty was born 28 February 1914 in Ursa, Illinois.
She graduated Mendon high school, Mendon Illinois. She went on to work in housekeeping at Blessing hospital in Quincy Illinois.
She was married to a Mr. Leckbee and a Mr. Kaufman.
Eva Ruth Kaufman passed away aged 86 at a Quincy, Illinois nursing home.
Reverend Tom Rains led the funeral held at a Quincy, Illinois funeral parlor. Interment was at New Providence cemetery in Ursa, Illinois.

One divorce was heard by Judge Fred G. Wolfe in circuit court Monday. Eva Ruth Leckbee [and] Orville D. Leckbee. They were married in Palmyra, June 10, 1933, and separated last August 17.
The decree was signed. Mrs. Leckbee was given custody of the three children, and the household goods and furniture. Mr. Leckbee is to pay $12 a week for the support of the children.
