William Kavanaugh Oldham
Died on Saturday night at the residence
of his son in law, Wm Miller at
Kavananghs old place at the age of
78 year old. He lost the use of his limbs
about eighteen months ago and although he suffered no pain his vitality gradually diminished until the end
came. funeral took place at 1
oclock yesterday afternoon conducted
by Rev Culton followed by interment
at the Richmond cemetery. He leaves
six children, Wm Hezekiah and Mrs
J P Eagle residing in Arkansas
Mrs W H Miller, Mrs John Doty
and Dr Brown Oldham of this county
The following brothers and sisters suvive, Orthiel. father of Mrs Judge J.C Chenault, Miss Temple Oldham,
Charles and Thomas M Oldham of
this county, Mrs Margaret Chenault of Mt. Sterling,Charles living now a resident of this county and Squire Abner Oldham of Lexington,. Deceased was a farmer all his life and resided chiefly near Viney Fork meeting house on the pod Hocker farm. He was a member of the Christian
church and was an upright respected citizen whose children Inherit many of the fine sterling qualities and have
been a great source of happiness to their aged father in his declining years.
