FAYETTEVILLE -- Earl Eugene Skaggs Sr., 59, of Fayetteville died Feb. 23, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born March 29, 1946, in Oark to Solomon Earl and Laverne Cosslett Skaggs. He was employed by the Danaher Corporation as a maintenance worker for 17 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Skaggs.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Mary Skaggs of the home; three sons, Earl Skaggs II of Fayetteville, Carl Skaggs of Ozark, George Skaggs of the home; one daughter, Laverne Wilson of Ozark; one brother, Tom Skaggs of Springdale; six sisters, Earlene Davis of Rogers; Evalene McGuire of Russellville; Katherine Beck of Danville; Janice Drassler of Rogers, Alice Summers and Joann Anderson, both of Paso Robles, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beards Chapel, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com. Burial is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Patterson Springs Cemetery near Oark.

The family will receive friends at the chapel from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
