STREETSBORO - Iris Ann Thomas 90 of Streetsboro passed away Friday, June 7, 2019.
She was born September 30, 1928 in Wilkes Barre, PA to Calvin and Elma (Ness) Almony. Iris was a member of the Streetsboro United Methodist Church and had worked in customer service for Sears. Her favorite things were spending time with family and friends. She was a great homemaker and excellent cook. She also enjoyed knitting and crafts.
Survivors include her children Randy (Debbie) Thomas, Mark (Renee) Thomas and Jeff Thomas, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and siblings Jean Wujnovich, Dick Almony, Robert Almony, Randy Almony and Elma Mertz. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benjamin H. Thomas, son Benjamin David Thomas and sister Carly Noll.
Calling hours will be from 1 - 4 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 10, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
