After the first examination was made by physicians it was believed that Mr. Duvall would survive, but later his condition grew worse and an operation that was to have been made on his right arm was given up. The second day after the accident there was little hope entertained for Duvall's ultimate recovery. He lived but five days after the accident.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in West Mineral Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev A.J. Bradshaw of this city Burial was made at the Star cemetery three miles southwest of West Mineral. The Masons and Odd Fellows assisted in the services.
Other articles indicate he was city marshal of West Mineral, treasurer of the West Mineral School Board and one of the foremost citizens of the town.
