William Lee Blair, age 92, a Warren County, TN resident and native was born December 12, 1926 and passed away June 8, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was a United States Army veteran of WWII, member of VFW Post 5064, retired machinist and a Christian. Mr. Blair was the son of the late Alton Otto and Della Davis Blair. He was married August 11, 1956 to Glenna Faye Jones Blair who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Peggie Blair of Spencer, Ricky and Vickie Blair and Jeff and Angelia Blair all of Rock Island; daughter, Ella Florence Mitchell of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren, Jeff and Brittany Blair of Spencer, Kayla and Clay Brady of Sparta, Ryan and Sarah Blair of McMinnville, Jesse Blair of Rock Island, Travis Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell both of Murfreesboro, April and Don Shockley and Dale and Tiffany Mooneyham, Jr. all of Spencer; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 in Liberty Cemetery with Michael Brock to officiate. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at High’s.
