Mrs Ann W Granahan, 155 York Ave, Duryea, died suddenly Sunday morning in Mercy Hospital, Scranton, shortly after admission. She was born in Pittston Township, daughter of the late Charles and Winifred Moran Coxe. She was a graduate of Pittston High School and had resided in Duryea for the past 44 years. She was last employed as a machine operator at Topps Chewing Gum Co, Duryea, retiring several years ago. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Duryea, and past president of its Altar and Rosary Society. She and her husband Frank celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary 29 Feb. Also surviving are a son, Paul of Cherry Hill NJ; daughters, Mrs Mary Alice Scott of Sterling VA, Mrs Ann Barlik of Larksville and Mrs Kathleen Belak of the Greenwood section of Moosic; nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral Wednesday from Frank E Piontek FH, 204 Main St, Duryea, with mass of Christian burial in Sacred Heart Church.
