Ada was born August 18, 1932 in Afton to Ozro Harold and Clarissa Kennington Merritt. She spent her early years in Bedford where her father worked for Kraft Creamery.
When Ada was four years old her family moved to Rock Springs. six years later her family moved to Salt Lake City, when WWII started, and her father took a job at an arms plant. The family returned to star Valley in 1946. Ada graduated from Star Valley High School in 1949.
Ada married Arvel Ellis Wolfley on July 27, 1949 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They settled down in Bedford and ran a dairy farm together.
Ada was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions within the church. She and her husband also served a mission in Indiana in 1985.
Ada was a talented musician and loved to sing. She also enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and making afagans.
Ada is survived by her children; Kay (Kathryn) Stathan, Rexburg; Max (Fanet) Statham, Rexburg; Austen (LaNece) Day, Bedford; Wan Wolfley, Thayne and Mark Ozro Wolfley, Bedford; 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
