Albert Stanley "Bus" Bruce, age 91, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed peacefully on June 8, 2019, in his home. His greatest treasures were God, his church and his family. Bus loved to take a ride down the streets of Augusta in his 1973 Ford truck. He was an avid sports fan, who loved to watch University of Kentucky basketball, the Cincinnati Reds and the Augusta Panthers.

Bus was survived by: his wife of 50 years, Geneva "Sue" Bruce; a daughter, Barbara Bruce Spradlin (David); five grandchildren, Steven Cummins (Vicki), Desiree Spradlin Haight (Nathanael), Marcus Spradlin (Kelsi), Dustan Spradlin (Katie) and Alexus Spradlin; five great-grandchildren, Jacobi Cummins, Emsli Cummins, Kaleesi Cummins, Westlyn Haight and Aiden Mains; two brothers, Richard Poe (Barbara), of Frankfort, Kentucky, and William Poe (Connie); a sister, Margaret Sharp (Howard Sharp); and two sisters-in-law, Connie Woodruff Poe, of Brooksville, Kentucky, and Betty Bruce Hargett, of Augusta. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Josie Bruce Poe; his father, George Bruce; his step-father, Richard Poe; a brother, Johnny Poe; and a sister, Mary Bruce.

Visitation will be held at Elevation Church, in Augusta, Kentucky, on Saturday, June 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be David Spradlin, Steven Cummins, Marcus Spradlin, Dustan Spradlin, Nathanael Haight and Jimmy Lee Kiskaden. Honorary pallbearer is Daniel Wachter. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bus Bruce Fund, in care of Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home.
