He was my 1st husband's father; grandfather to my 2 sons, Eric & Thom Jr., and Keven & Kimberly from Thom Sr's 1st marriage; great-grandfather to Sebrina & Ashlynn, all born after he died.
I didn't really know much about him except what his wife Pearl told me. She said he would give anyone anything if they said they liked it. She came home one day to catch him giving away the coffeepot.
Another story I remember is the one about the night his son was born. Thet thought they wouldn't have children as they were both in their 40s but surprise! Along came Thom Sr. Archie went to the local bar to celebrate, which was at the end of the road they lived on Wheatsheaf, and got so drunk that even the dog , who he took with him, would not walk along side him on the way home. But after waiting so long I guess he was entitled to celebrate a little.
He later moved to Trevose/Feasterville and worked for Somerton Springs Pool maintaing the grounds, pool & golf course. When he died, he was laid out in the pool house and Pearl said the line of mourners went clear around the building and out to the street. He must have been one special guy. He is buried at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, PA.
