LYNNOTT, Philomena (Phyllis) - June. 12, 2019, (Sutton, Co. Dublin and formerly of Leighlin Road, Crumlin), Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her home, beloved mother of the late Philip Lynott; very sadly missed by her loving sisters Betty and Irene, her brother Peter and nephew Graham, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and her many friends at home and abroad.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Strand Rd, Portmarnock, Co. Dublin this Sunday afternoon 16th June from 12pm to 3pm. Removal on Monday morning (Funeral Home private on Monday) to St. Fintan's Church, Greenfield Rd, Sutton, arriving for 12pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Strand Rd, Portmarnock, Co. Dublin Sunday 16th June from 12pm to 3pm. Funeral private on Monday at St. Fintan's Church, Greenfield Rd, Sutton, followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton.

Philomena Lynott was born the fourth of nine children to Frank and Sarah Lynott in Dublin, and grew up in the Crumlin district of the city. In 1947 Lynott move to England during the rebuilding period after WWII, and found work as a nurse in Manchester. She met and had a child (Philip) with Cecil Parris, in 1949. Philip was a founding member and lead singer of the band, Thin Lizzy. Lynott had two other children that she put up for adoption.
In 1964 Lynott began a relationship with Dennis Keeley (memorial # 203403272) and the couple took over management of the Clifton Grange Hotel in Whalley Range, Manchester. They bought the property after 6 months and remained there for 14 years.
In 1980 Lynott and Keeley moved to Howth, County Dublin. Lynott died June 12, 2019 after suffering from cancer for a number of years.
