Earl Lee Moran, 93, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 18, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Greg Waggoner, pastor of Bible Baptist Temple in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Moran was born Oct. 5, 1913, in Childress County to Fred and Lillie Halford Moran. Mr. Moran served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Fort Worth and Denver Railway for more than 16 years before buying his own farm.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Francis Earlene Bradford in 2004 and Freddie Louise Moran in 1943; his parents; and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, James Moran of Kirkland and Billy Leroy Moran of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Freda Sturgill of Graham and Essie Mae Burt of Amarillo; a brother, Donald Lee Moran; two sisters, Opal Jones and O'Reta Dyer; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
