Michael Bernard Crosby, affectionately known as "Buck" , was born to Marvin and Coquese Crosby in Wichita, Kansas on February 3, 1979. He was blessed with 5 brothers and 5 sisters; Kenneth, Nathaniel, Lavincent, Marvin, Calvin, Alicia, Coquese, Angela, Laquisha, and Jazmine. As a child, "Buck" attended school in Oklahoma until he returned to Wichita in 1990 and attended Curtis Middle School and Southeast High School. There he met his high school sweetheart, Keezia BoClair. They married and to this union two children were born. "Buck" loved to play cards and dominoes. He also loved to travel, but most of all he loved to eat meat. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends. He knew he could always call on his sister, Coquese, for anything. They had a special bond, but he loved all his siblings. He loved his children with all his heart. When "Buck" was around, there was never a dull moment. He loved making people laugh and be happy; especially his mom. " Buck" was also a member of North Ash of the Nazarene Church, where he enjoyed the work and singing. Michael Bernard Crosby went to meet his maker on January 16, 2010. Those who precede Michael in death are his father, Marvin Crosby; his brother, Matthew Hurt; his grandmother, Eartha Taylor; his uncles, Robert Crosby, Jr. and Curtis Wiggins; and his cousins, Adrian Crosby and Ameis Collins. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Coquese Y. Crosby (Dallas); his brothers, Kenneth Bennett (Los Angeles), Nathaniel Hurt, Sr. (Lansing, KS), Lavincent Harris and Calvin Crosby (Wichita), and Marvin Crosby, Sr. (Tucson, AZ); his sisters, Alicia Crosby-Dean, Coquese Crosby, and Jazmine Crosby (Wichita), Angela Crosby (Canada), and Laquisha Henderson (Los Angeles); his children, Marquez Crosby, Marquelle Crosby, Marquela Crosby, La' Trice Sutton, and Damariyah Crosby; the love of his life, Monique Alley; his stepmother, Cynthia Thomas (Wichita); his grandparents, Wilma Walker (Los Angeles), Charles Fields and Emma Fields (Oklahoma) and Robert Crosby (Chicago); his step grandparents, Willie Taylor and Alice Nason (Wichita); his stepchildren, Damarie Henley, Raytroun Henley, Martaiveon Muldrow, Nazivon Muldrow, and Imajahnae Muldrow; his stepsiblings, Kaalise Thomas and Genia Thomas and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. Dear Brother "Buck" You were special to me in so many ways. Just to have you close would brighten up my days. Your smiling face, your lovable warm heart Made me think we could never part But now you're gone and your life seemed so short. But brother "Buck" you will always live on in my heart. Love You Always, Your sis, Coquese. Homegoing Celebrations for Mr. Crosby will be Saturday January 23, 2010 at North Ash Church of the Nazarene 12th and Ash Wichita, Kansas 67214.
