Edna McDonald Acree, 70, wife of Dr. Frank M. Acres Jr. of Lake Ferguson, died at King's Daughters Hospital after a heart attack. She had a Greenville resident for 41 years. Mrs. Acree was a member of the Alice Club and the Woman's Federated Club of Greenville. She was active in conservation work for many years, and was two recipients in the state of the national Bear Award. She was former chairman and a current member of the City Committee. She was a former Scout commissioner, and was a member the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church. The Dr. Perry Claxton will officiate. Burial be in Greenville Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

She also leaves a son, Frank M. Acree, III of Twin Falls, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Merrie Jane Graves of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Richards and Mrs. Otto Williams both of Waxahachie, Tex., and four grandchildren.
