Walter Ralph Ahrens, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at home in the town of Peshtigo, WI after a short battle with cancer. Walter was born on December 17, 1942, to Walter and Helen (Spangenberg) Ahrens in Marinette, Wisconsin.

He graduated from Menominee High School in 1961 and worked at Badger Paper Mills for 39 years until he retired. He was a lifetime member of First Trinity Lutheran Church of Marinette.
Walter enjoyed camping with family and friends, watching all sports, and, especially, following the Peshtigo Bulldogs.

Walter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Aagaard);
three sons: Daniel (Emily), Richard (Lynnette) and Clark.
four grandchildren: Mitchell, Bethany, Benjamin, and Abigail Ahrens.
two brothers: Eugene (Helen) and Jeff (Toni) Ahrens
two sisters: Geraldine (Vince) Michalak and Patti (Steve) Bertram.

His parents preceded him in death and his brother Dallis and his wife Marilyn.

Family and friends may visit at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 920 Wells Street, Marinette, from 11 AM to 1 PM, Friday, June 7 with a church service following immediately afterwards. The service will be officiated by Pastor Christian Eisenbeis.
Pallbearers are grandsons: Mitchell and Ben Ahrens, and friends: Steve Degeneffe, Tom Grosse, Kevin Pillath, and Roy Meier.
