Rebecca was born 27 Mar 1704 in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts, the daughter of John Prentice (1672-1721) and Hannah Osland (1670-1704). She married (1) Judah Worden (1695-1726) on 2 Dec 1725 in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Judah drowned along with six other men when a boat capsized. She married (2) Samuel Stanton (1682-1751) on 23 Jan 1729 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut. She married (3) Daniel Collins on 7 Jul 1754 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut. According to “History of the Town of Stonington” by Richard A. Wheeler, Rebecca died in 1755. The marriage of Judah Worden to Rebecca Prentice is recorded in “Early Massachusetts Marriages,” page 74, Newton, Middlesex County. The early and eminent Worden Researcher, Marjorie Schunke, records information about Judah Worden and Rebecca Prentice in an article in “Worden’s Past,” the publication of the Worden Family Association.
