In 1910, Anna M. Temple was a 9 year old, born PA, living on Allegheny Ave., Aliquippa, Beaver Co., PA, with her parents, Alexander Temple, 45, born PA, and Margaret E. Temple, 41, born PA, and her siblings, Violet B. Groetsch, 20, born PA, and her daughter Margaret H. Groetsch, 0, born PA; Allie M. Temple, 18, born PA; Rolland Temple, 16, born PA; Hazel Temple, 13, born PA; James H. Temple, 9, born PA; Harold Temple, 7, born PA. Anna, was in school. Her father was a steward in a Moose Club
NOTE: The Family Search transcriber misread the census taker’s notes and applied the surname “Groetsch” to all of Alexander’s children, when in reality, only Violet and Margaret H. had that surname. See the census sheet.

The family packed up and moved to Akron, OH, in 1910 according to Anna's obituary. In the 1920 Census, they were living at 704 Lafayette St., Akron, Summit Co., OH. Annie was, 19, and still living with her parents and siblings plus her uncle, Dettmar Harper, 48, born PA. Annie, Alex, Hazel, James, Harold and Dettmar worked in a rubber factory.

Sometime between 1920 and 1930, Anna married James C. Douglas, a widowed, who had lost his wife Edith, probably ca 1920. Anna took on his two sons, Ralph and Charles (a daughter, Rose, apparently died in the interim), and bore 4 children.

They lived at 648 Cole Ave, Akron in 1930 and at 780 Wexford St. Akron in 1940. James died in July 1942. Anna was a widow for 31 yeas.
