Mr. Billy E. Amerson, age 84, of Warner Robins died on Thursday evening, June 20, 2019, at The Lodge in Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 24, at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Amerson Family Cemetery near Davisboro. Rev. Richard Arrowood will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Bob Armstrong, Don Rountree, Tommy Cowart, Terry Cowart, Keith McCoy and William Dukes.

Mr. Amerson was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Albert Lozelle Amerson and the late Florence Hodges Amerson. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Eugene Amerson. Mr. Amerson resided in Warner Robins for many years. He held a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Mr. Amerson was a retired systems design analyst at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Kathleen Baptist Church. Mr. Amerson was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are: his wife, Carolyn Ivey Amerson of Warner Robins; a daughter, Cathy Amerson Settle of Davisboro; three grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Wood, Brad Settle and Calvin Amerson; and two great-grandchildren, Abigale Wood and Emily Wood.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday, June 24, 2019.
