Andrew Duncan Castle
Aug 24, 1978 - June 16, 2019

Andrew Duncan Castle was born to Kim M. Herald and Mary Gretchen on August 24, 1978, in Pine Bluff, AR.

As a baby, he loved camping and backpacking.

He had a grand curiosity about all things in the natural world, as well as the universe in general.

As a sixth grader, Andrew was the second place winner of the State of Wyoming Middle School Geography Bee in Laramie, Wyoming.

His final question was, "What is the Eastern-most country in Africa?" Andrew's answer was, "Ethiopia."

If you look at a map of Africa, Ethiopia is directly beside Italian Somaliland on the coast.

The other finalist was asked, "In which State is Devil's Den Tower?" Answer = "Wyoming."

Andrew was incredibly intelligent, and he enjoyed learning as much as he could about every subject known to man.

He had the third highest SAT score for the state of Wyoming for several years - A perfect 1600 in English and 1540 in Math.

Andrew was accepted into the Air Force Academy as a Junior in High School.

Mary and Andrew drove to Casper, Wyoming to meet Senator Al Simpson, and receive a letter of congratulations from The President of the United States.

Unfortunately, he was unable to attend due to an accident that shattered his femur when he was a Senior in High School.

He was also awarded a full-ride scholarship to Central Wyoming College.

Andrew has an Associate of Applied Science from Virginia Western Community College, and he was working as an apprentice under a Journeyman Electrician at the time of his passing.

Andrew married Whitney Erin Wallace on August 2, 2008, in Hyrum, Utah.

It was a beautiful, sun-shining day, and the sky couldn't be any bluer, with the Cache Valley mountains as a backdrop.

They share Andrew's 18 year-old daughter Trinity Rosas, as well as their son, Anthony Castle.

Andrew went into Cardiac Arrest in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 11, 2019, and passed away on June 16, 2019, from complications of his heart attack.

He was able to be an organ donor, giving four people the opportunity to live, and the ability to improve the quality of life for up to 60 people.

Andrew is survived by his wife: Whitney Castle, Children:

Anthony Castle and Trinity Rosas, Parents: Mary Castle, Kim Herald, John Castle, and David and Toni Wallace.

Siblings: Katie (Eneas) Kane, Stephen Castle, and David (Tonya) Castle, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

He will be received on the other side by his Nana, Granddad, Grandpa Herald, Mrs. Howie, Minnie May, Uncle Pat, cousin Matthew Danaher, and nephew Trevan Cooper Wallace.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, June 23, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hyrum, Utah Stake Center 600 S. 200 East.

A graveside service will be held at the Hyrum, Utah Cemetery on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
