TRINITY – Carol Motley Babb, 79, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at High Point Medical Center.
She was born August 10, 1939, in Charlotte and was the daughter of the late Warren C. and Bertha Davis Frady. She retired from High Point Regional Hospital where she served as Secretary of Outpatient Registration for more than 25 years. She attended New Grace Baptist Church in Thomasville and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had many friends and enjoyed helping people in any way she could and by volunteering.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Morris Irvin Motley, Sr. and Eugene Babb; two step-sons, Morris I. Motley, Jr. and Charles Motley; sister, Frances Friday; and brother, Paul Frady.
Carol is survived by four children, Cheryl Bowman (Johnny) of Mt. Airy, Theresa Huntley of Trinity, Cynthia Cooper (Greg) of Archdale, and Deborah Selvio (Rod) of Pensacola, Florida; step-daughter, Pat Trimnal (Mike) of Thomasville; sister, Ruby McDaniel of Columbia, SC; brother, Bobby Frady of Rock Hill, SC; ten grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Carol’s life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2019, at New Grace Baptist Church, 1029 Blair Street, Thomasville, with Preacher Donnie Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 28, 2019, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
