Alene worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. Family and friends were Alene’s greatest joy. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family, especially her grandson. She also enjoyed traveling with friends on the tour buses that departed from Chanute. Most of all she loved going dancing with her husbands. Alene was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.
Alene is survived by:
Grandson: Preston Vetter and wife, Laura, of Goddard, KS; Daughter-in-Law: Teresa Vetter of Wichita, KS; Siblings: Loren Wilson, Eugene “Gene” Wilson;
Numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Hank and Wayne and son, Gary Vetter; siblings, Loren Wilson and Eugene “Gene” Wilson.
The family will greet friends on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10-11 am at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. The funeral service will at 11 am at the funeral home.
